CANCOM achieves 2024 forecast and increases cashflow again

The CANCOM Group closes an eventful 2024 financial year in line with its forecast. Based on the preliminary figures for 2024, revenue increased by 14.4 percent to € 1,742.2 million. Gross profit grew by 19.1 percent to € 693.3 million.

CANCOM and IBM promote young professionals with the “watsonXplore” challenge

Experience artificial intelligence in a practical way and develop your own AI use cases: this was the goal of the “watsonXplore” challenge, a joint initiative by CANCOM and IBM. 25 apprentices and dual students from CANCOM worked in four teams on innovative AI applications for several months. The grand finale took place on January 28, 2025 at the IBM Innovation Studio in Munich, where the participants presented their solutions to a jury of experts.

CANCOM implements a future-oriented AI cluster at the University of Würzburg

The Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) officially launched its new high-performance computing (HPC) cluster ‘Julia 2’ on November 27, 2024. The inauguration took place as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the university’s data center. With this AI cluster, the university is setting new standards in research and teaching, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning.
